Fun in Florence

Our duomo selfie.  This place just kills me every time.  The three amigos.

Breaking the rules already.  Climbed under the railing to feel the real wall and snap a quick pic.

The only time we even saw the river on our trip.  Sometimes when you are traveling and decide to live like a local you don't spend as much time "seeing" things.  You live them instead.

Our favorite little find.  We ordered a plate of mixed meat and unknowingly ate horse meat for the first time.  What we didn't realize was that it was the horse meat that we ordered another serving of because it was so unique and tasty.  I would never intentionally eat horse meat and I probably won't do it again, but we did and it was good.

America's favorite restaurant in Florence.  It was delicious and well worth it.

The owner and one of the few remaining Princes in Florence.  He wears 12 pounds of silver bracelets on each arm and is one of the nicest people we met.

Nothing better than introducing friends and then finding them alone, chatting and getting to know each other.  Good people tend to love good people and this is a perfect example.  Two truly unique and talented women.

Real friends help detangle your necklaces.

Hugs and horses in the streets of Florence.

No!!! The hotel is that way!!

If we find a photo booth we just can't not stop.  And to find a black and white one?  In the street?  Yes, please.

Ciao my sweet friend.  Thank you for everything.

Exploring Italy

Every time we go to Tuscany we always spend a day or two at Cortona.

We rented a hotel in town for our Anniversary.  Not a bad view.

I love all animals, but am a sucker for kitties.  Especially Italian ones.

In the city center there are the iconic steps.  We always have a bite and a snack.

Sneaky shot of the cutest Italian baby girl ever.

Jon relaxing with his sandals and a drink.

Polka dots and blond hair.

The best thing we got was a new wedding band for my man.

Local designer made my little bronze pig.  Love it.

The hotel left us a lovely bottle of bubbly for our night.

We found out about a local meat festival and spent a wonderful night with the locals.

Dancing the night away with the 20 other people in the town.  Met the grandma of the singer and walked away with some cool shirts and a full belly.

There was no way I wasn't going to check out a local flea market.

My one regret.  Wish I had bought this painting kit for so many reason.  Never second guess.

Old fragrance bottles.

You never know what you can find amongst a table of silly stuff.  Walked away with an amazing vintage rosary.

Sometimes you have to kiss a frog to find your prince, but in this case it's all rolled into one.

Floral inspiration for hand painting some leather jackets.

My other purchase regret.  I just wish I had this piglet on my wall.

Tuscany is the best

Brother united in the Tuscan hills.

Stealing a moment in the grape vines with my mama.

Another fabulous office location for Jon.

My perfect reading spot until I got eaten alive by mosquitos.

Looks like everything is A-ok.

Cheeky shot taken by my babe.  Buns and turtles.

The dusk routine.  Poolside drinks and a dip.

My mama and my father-in-law.  Love how our families bonded.

A selshie lesson with my papa-in-law.

The only way we were able to watch the Manchester City match.

She had and raised triplets.  This woman can do anything.

The moments that make my heart swell.  Jon and mom.

Footie break.  Skills for days this boy.

New freckles and wine teeth for days.

Look who showed up! My best friend in the world, America.

Just catching some sun with Bill Murray.  No big deal.

Our 10 year anniversary dinner table setting.

My beautiful mama enjoying the perfect sunset.

The view from the table.

Our one night on the town.  Working on our club faces.

They didn't seem too upset about the view.

Our sweet friend and host for the night, Jacopo.
